Emergency Management

The Borough has a team of Emergency Management personnel that is ready to activate during any emergency. If you would like to volunteer your time and get involved please contact Borough Hall.

* Re-entry Placards*
The Re-entry Placards were mailed out to all homeowners on February 6, 2020. The new placards will expire at the end of 2025. Please read the information page that is included in the mailing.  If you rent a house on a full-time, year round basis in Barnegat Light please contact Borough Hall to get your Re-entry Placard, you must show a copy of your current lease.  If you are a homeowner who has a full-time year round tenant please make them aware that they should contact Borough Hall to get a placard.

“Register Ready – New Jersey’s Special Needs Registry for Disasters” allows New Jersey residents with disabilities or access and functional needs and their families, friends, caregivers and associates an opportunity to provide information to emergency response agencies so emergency responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency.
The information collected here is confidential and will not be available to the public. The information will be held securely and only used for emergency response and planning.
